Welcome to Desert Island Authors. This week we're chatting to the fabulous Jiffy Kate.
Now you are stranded on a desert island, which of your book heroes will you bring with you & why?
Since there are two of us, Jiff wants to bring Micah and Jenny Kate wants to bring Deacon. We could share, but having two is more fun. Their humor, brawn, and general know-how would keep us safe, sated, and fully entertained. ;)
You can only bring one book with you. What one would you stick in your suitcase?
Twilight. We'll share. Maybe do a read-aloud. It'll be fun.
You can only eat one meal for the rest of your stay. What will it be?
You can listen to one album during your stay. Which one will you choose?
Salt N Pepa's Very Necessary
You can only watch one movie or TV show while you're shipwrecked. What will be playing on a loop on your screen forever?
The Walking Dead
You can bring 3 bonus items. What are they & how will they help?
1. A Swiss Army knife, because DUH. We've seen enough episodes of Survivor to know you need a knife.
2. Bug repellent, because we've seen enough episodes of Naked and Afraid to know we don't want to look like a leper by the time we're rescued by Norman Reedus.
3. And duck tape, because... well, duck tape.
Rescue is in sight! If you could have anybody arrive to save you in their boat / helicopter / paddleboat for two who will it be?
They are two strangers, struggling from day to day—one trying to overcome the past, while the other hides behind it.
Just when Tripp Alexander thinks he has everything figured out and nothing can stop him, a swift dose of reality plants his feet firmly on the ground. Maybe a little too close to six feet under.
Loren Jenson knows heartache. Circumstances from her past have tarnished her outlook on life, making her feel like her future has been pulled out from under her. That is, until a boy with deep green eyes and a shy smile falls into her life, bringing with him a connection she can't deny.
Will they be able to trust enough to share their secrets and accept one another, despite what they've been through? Or will the truth about their pasts derail the chance fate has handed them?
How do you allow yourself to live out the life set before you when you are the other one?
