Welcome to Desert Island Authors. This week we're chatting to Sydney Logan
Now you are stranded on a desert island, which of your book heroes will you bring with you & why?
I would bring Brandon from Soldier On. As a soldier, he'd have the survival skills and training to keep me safe until we can be rescued and could probably build a raft to bring us home.
You can only bring one book with you. What one would you stick in your suitcase?
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - because it's 700 pages!
You can only eat one meal for the rest of your stay. What will it be?
Our one meal would be a traditional Thanksgiving dinner! Not sure where we'd find a turkey, but ...
You can listen to one album during your stay. Which one will you choose?
Now That's What I Call the 80s - Gotta have my 80s music!
You can only watch one movie or TV show while you're shipwrecked. What will be playing on a loop on your screen forever?
Breaking Bad - because it's the best show in the history of television!
You can bring 3 bonus items. What are they & how will they help?
Assuming one of those items can't be a boat... I'd choose a satellite phone in hopes that we could call for help; an iPod that runs by solar power so that we could always have music; and a never-ending supply of food and fresh water
Rescue is in sight! If you could have anybody arrive to save you in their boat / helicopter / paddleboat for two who will it be?
Ryan Gosling (with Sully Sullenberger as co-pilot). Ryan's my celebrity crush, but I'm not sure how awesome he'd be in the pilot's seat. Sully, however, can fly (and land) a plane anywhere!
And don't forget to check out her fabulous book,
Brandon is an engineering major and ROTC student from the hills of Kentucky. Growing up as the son of a major general has given Brandon firsthand knowledge of the struggles military families sometimes face. Now that his father’s memory is fading, Brandon is even more determined to make his dad proud and graduate as an officer in the United States Army. Then he meets Stephanie, and suddenly, his focus is less on his military service and more on the pretty brunette who has stolen his heart. When he becomes aware of Steph’s resentment toward the military, he worries their relationship is doomed.
When faced with the realization that she's fallen in love with a soldier, can Steph’s wounds from the past be healed with love in her present . . . and in her future?
